So, I’ve returned to college after 20 years of being out, and it’s taking me a lot to do math again. Well, Mary emailed me the finish of Roosevelt which I’ve been anticipating for a long while, she’s a brilliant stitcher like so many of you all. I think I scanned Roosevelt and then did class. I was so busy… I just left the email in my inbox and didn’t come back to it. I’m officially out loud apologizing for that. I love this piece and like so many I really do try to take time to really look at the finished that happen from charts. It helps me be better for my next charts too, so it’s not only amazing to see, but it’s helpful to press for progress and improvements in making these pieces more realistic.
I try to take 10-15 minutes looking at each finish and zoom in real close to see the color contrasting and how it was a success with a particular piece, or it wasn’t so good. I consider the size of the pieces and really do look at them.
I didn’t do that with this one until tonight and it is stunning. Mary is such a good stitcher, and this would be a challenging chart. It’s not huge, but a good size and you can see the age of this dog and the look of his eyes.
I love your stitching Mary and I’m so glad you shared with me even if I’m late to commentary.
