This cross stitch chart is based on Morning: Going out to Work (after Millet), a painting by Vincent van Gogh. It shows a peasant couple setting out for a day of work in the fields. A woman in a white cap and a pale blue dress sits sideways on a brown donkey and holds a woven basket in her lap. The donkey wears a bridle and a woven saddle basket, and it walks to the left with its long ears raised and its head held low. A farmer in blue work clothes, an orange hat and wooden clogs follows behind. He carries a pitchfork over one shoulder and a small bundle under his arm. Wheat fields in gold, ochre and amber surround the travelers, made of short, curving stitches of yellow, orange and brown. In the distance are a rider on a white horse near the horizon, a lone worker in the middle field and a team at work on the far left. A band of blue trees runs along the horizon under a cream and white sky with streaks of blue cloud. Van Gogh painted the original in oil on canvas in 1890 in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, France, and it is housed in the Hermitage Museum in Saint Petersburg, Russia. The painting is one of four he made after Millet's prints of the hours of a farm day, between the end of October 1889 and January 1890. While a voluntary patient at the asylum in Saint-Rémy, Van Gogh painted twenty-one copies after Millet, an artist he greatly admired.

It measures 400x225 stitches and contains 900 color.
