Well, here is another piece of artwork from Fredrick Stanley and The Saturday Evening Post. This was the cover on March 15, 1930.
This piece is 115 colors and 214x280 stitches.
The cross-stitch chart is interesting though because it was created with a white background, so I removed the outside. Therefore, you don't need to stitch the outside pure white. I do recommend stitching on white fabric though and leaving some space for visible fabric when you frame.
