This cross stitch classic shows a bright bouquet of zinnias arranged in a white vase against a pale blue background. The bouquet includes red, orange, yellow, pink, and white blooms, with green leaves and small blue and purple accent flowers mixed through the stems. The vase has a raised decorative panel on the front and sits on a dark tabletop.
The artwork appears to be based on “Zinnias” by Sarah Stilwell-Weber, used as a cover for The Saturday Evening Post on August 23, 1930. Stilwell-Weber was an American illustrator known for magazine covers and children’s illustration, and she created several covers for The Saturday Evening Post.
